A little historical background on one of Kappa's favorite Socials, Prohibition.
Prohibition 2011 occurred on February 19th and it was much anticipated by many Kappa girls. However, some girls debated on whether or not they should go as a flapper or a gangster.
Picking out a flapper dress isn't so easy because, there are so many styles, colors and accessories to go with the dress! Lindsay M., Meg S., Alison B., Ashley D. and Claire W. all look gorgeous in their different flapper dresses.
Many girls added accessories to their outfits. The looks of the night were lots of pearls, sequin headbands, suspenders and fedora hats. Many girls got crafty when it came to making their own headbands for the night. Purchasing different colored sequins and unique feathers gave their flapper dress a true 1920's feel.
Socials are a great way to spend time with your sisters and have fun. As always, Kappa's acted very classy and had a safe and fun night celebrating with friends. There was a lot of dancing as well as, delicious treats at the venue.
