Founder's Day

We celebrated Founder's Day this year November 8th, the day after Initiation. Actives and alums enjoyed chicken parmesan at The Reynolds Alumni Center.

Six Kappas were honored with a 50 year pin (pictured above with the women who pinned them with the Golden Fleur-de-lis pin). Three women were honored with 65 year pins. One of the women pinned with a 65-year pin told actives, "You're going to love being a Kappa more with every year!"
The Kappa Pickers sang two delightful songs, "Drifter" and "Shelly's Blues."

The Columbia Alumnae Association created the Vivian Benedict Outstanding Alum Award, an award in honor of one of our very involved alums, Vivian Benedict. Viv also received her 50 year pin this year too. She is vital in guiding our chapter through Recruitment and for that, we are very thankful to have her advice. She was honored with several speeches from alums and an active, who sported the t-shirt pictured above.
