Kappa's Mom Weekend

Kappa Kappa Gamma's Mom's Weekend is a weekend full of fun, memories and Moms. On the weekend of March 4th, moms from all over the country began to flood into Columbia, Missouri in order to celebrate with their daughters. The weekends events were planned by Events Internal Chairman, Hannah Carlson. This weekend is a great time for girls to catch a break during an especially busy semester and relax with their mommas.

Michelle C., Erika C. and their mother are waiting for Dave Coulier, or otherwise known as Uncle Joey from Full House, to begin his comedy show at Deja Vu Comedy Club. Kappa's took over the comedy club on Friday, March 4th as they came together for a night of laughs. Dave Coulier was a huge hit for the night.

"Dave Coulier was absolutely hilarious! It brought me back to the good ole' days of my childhood and Full House. It was great that my mom and I were able to experience that together. It was a really awesome idea," Karen B., Pledge Class 2009, said.

Freshmen, Lilli R. and Haley D. are enjoying a banquet dinner held at the Tiger Hotel in Columbia. The meal was served by Bleu and was a great time for all. During the banquet, a slideshow of photos submitted by Theta chapter Kappa's of them and their moms played in the background.

Freshmen Kate H., Shelby H. and Hillary O. all went to the Deja Vu comedy show with their mom's during Mom's Weekend. Before the comedy club, many Kappa's went an enjoyed the various vendors at the Kappa house such as, Lily Dawson and Paola Rivera, a Theta chapter Kappa.

"Mom's Weekend was a great time. It's so much fun to hang out with your friends and your mom," Kelsie R., Pledge Class 2009 said.

One of the most popular trends of the evening was feather hair extensions. A former Theta chapter Kappa Kappa Gamma came to Mom's Weekend and allowed girls to select various colored feathers.
